Salzburg GF Stephan Reiter laughs at “weird” Adeyemi rumors – football
Hardly any player in FC Red Bull Salzburg’s long history of transfers polarizes the game like Karim Adeyemi.
The DFB national player has been associated with Borussia Dortmund for months and is said to have agreed with BVB since December. Only the “bulls” stand in the way of execution and are said to be demanding 45 million euros for the top scorers in the Admiral Bundesliga.
A sum that is too high for the second in the table, a maximum of 38 million euros, Dortmund wants to put down for the lightning-fast striker. In the tough transfer negotiations, Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz is said to play a role, the 77-year-old from Styria wants to see the youngster at sister club RB Leipzig (read here >>>).
A rumor that makes Salzburg’s managing director Stephan Reiter laugh: “I would classify this rumor as a myth. This transfer polarizes so much that there is a lot of communication. These rumors are so bizarre that it’s funny again, evaluate them more deeply.”
“We have no pressure at all”
The 50-year-old gave an insight into the negotiations with BVB: “I wouldn’t say it’s difficult. It’s just as interesting and challenging as other transfers. As with many transfers, it’s a certain process of getting closer and then a little further away.”
According to Reiter, this process “is currently underway and I think we are on an interesting and exciting path.” Those responsible at Mozartstadt “have of course been in contact with BVB sports director-to-be Sebastian Kehl over the last few weeks and days”. “It will remain so in the coming days and weeks,” affirmed Reiter.
According to sports director Christoph Freund (read here >>>), the managing director also denies that there is an ultimatum for Dortmund. “As far as the negotiations are concerned, we have no pressure at all. We are very open about it.”
One is “per se not dependent on Karim’s transfer”, explains Reiter, “but of course it is an important pillar for us to achieve transfer income every year”, the 50-year-old makes no secret of the fact that the highly successful RB – philosophy should be continued.
“No specific requests” for Jaissle
Fluctuation in the coaching position has also been high in recent years, with the probable entry into the Champions League round of 16, of course, his shares have also risen sharply. But the German recently said in an interview that he was planning to stay in the city of Mozart (read here >>>).
“There are no specific inquiries for Matthias,” confirmed Reiter, who is full of praise: “But he’s doing a fantastic job. He’s with us and will continue to be with us. He really likes it here.”
