Inflation in Portugal “accelerated to 5.3% in March, the highest rate since 1994”?
In fact, on the same day – March 31 – as the publication under analysis, the National Statistics Institute (INE) occupation the “Quick Estimate – March 2022” bulletin of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which seems to have been the source of information.

It is important to note that these numbers are still provisional. The final CPI data for March 2022 will be published on April 12th.
