About the car ranking
The ranking is developed using the index score of YouGov’s Brandindex, which is the average of 6 image parameters: quality, general impression, value for money, recommendation, reputation and customer satisfaction.
In Norway, YouGov BrandIndex measures Norwegians’ perceptions of more than 350 brands, of which 32 are car brands. We interview 100 people every day who are representative of the general population, and ask about their attitudes to different brands.
For the health status of car brands globally, YouGov has relied on data from 22 markers, which include Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, China, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Spain , UK, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Germany and USA.
We have given the car brands points from 1 to 10 per country, where the car brand is placed among the top 10 (from 10 points for first place to 1 point for a tenth place).
Data are from February 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022.
