In Rimini, first meeting with the Romagna Next coordination
The President of the Rimini delegation of Confindustria Romagna, Alessandro Pesaresi, participated in the meeting organized by the Romagna Next coordination, of which the Municipality of Rimini is the lead body and operational contact person for the project. “The project is a pilot experimentation at national level of a medium-term strategic planning path, which involves all the provinces of Romagna, exactly as proposed by the Città Romagna project launched by our association – explains Pesaresi – in this sense it was It is interesting to see the outlines of what could be a strategic plan for a large area for our territory “. In a moment of unprecedented difficulty, following a pandemic, squeezed between the prohibitive costs of raw materials and a war scenario in the heart of Europe, the storm can only be faced by thinking from a metropolitan area perspective. “We therefore take the opportunity of this meeting – adds Pesaresi – to focus on those issues, identified with the City Romagna project, which must be at the center of the strategic actions to be undertaken, quickly, for the relaunch and development of our land “. Connections A territory that wants to confront and compete with the rest of the world must be easily accessible: from this point of view, its infrastructural equipment is an essential factor of competitiveness. In Rimini, this connection translates into between the capital and the neighboring production areas with acceptable travel times: from the Marecchiese to the industrial area of Santarcangelo, to name the two most obvious cases. The strategic role of the airport, of IEG and of the congress centers, must be at the center of concrete policies and actions in an industrial and touristic key. Energy transition Romagna and Rimini can play an important role in the energy transition. Getting to the use of renewable energy sources as soon as possible is a shared goal: we can no longer afford vetoes or red tape. The diversification of sources is imposed by the supply difficulties, and on the Rimini wind farm it is now necessary to proceed without further delay. Welfare The health emergency, the demographic decline, the invasion of Ukraine and the consequent sanctions against Russia, the increase in the emergency, are having a very strong social impact. A situation that can only be managed with well-being policies that put the person at the center and that envisage concrete plans shared and implemented by everyone, institutions, associations and organizations, and companies that in their social role as a business are committed to many initiatives. Knowledge and training It is necessary, also in light of the success of the Romagna multicampus university project, to expand the university’s collaboration to the highest levels, also evaluating the possibility of opening up to other universities, national and international, as well as further developing the institutes. Higher Technicians and Business Schools. The school-work alternation must evolve in the school-work integration, to form profiles and skills that respond to very rapid changes in the markets and new business needs.
