VILLENEUVE-LÈS-AVIGNON In pictures: with the Aubergine Meetings, art spreads
The fourth edition of the Rencontres d’Aubergine is open this Saturday in Villeneuve, to last until April 30. The principle remains the same, namely a journey of contemporary art in everyday places.
“Four years ago, we were in four places, today in twenty. » Eléonore Dadoit Cousin, who founded the Rencontres d’Aubergine in the eponymous restaurant with several of her friends, measures the progress made. Because if this group of friends passionate about art has succeeded in making the event grow, as the mayor of Villeneuve Pascale Bories points out, it has kept its DNA.
The idea therefore remains to “make art accessible to all”recalls Eléonore Dadoit Cousin, mainly by exhibiting outside galleries and museums, in shops, hairdressing salons, an architect’s office, the press house or the Euromaster garage, to offer a free journey.
And among the twenty artists who came from all over France for the event, we find the singer La Grande Sophie, whose creations are exhibited at the Hôtel de l’Atelier. They are to be discovered, like all the others along the route, until April 30.
