Portugal announces 125 million euros after Cyclone Gombe in northern Mozambique — DNOTICIAS.PT
Portugal today announced 125 million euros for organizations with humanitarians in northern Mozambique after the impact of Cyclone Gombe in March.
“To support 25,000 euros, like Cyclone Gompula Portugal, it will immediately provide 1 humanitarian intervention by non-governmental organizations for the development of the NGDO) in the province of Nampula, reads a statement on the development of Portugal in Mozambique.
The funds will be allocated through the Rapid Response Instrument (IRR) for Emergency Actions coordinated by Camões – Instituto da Cooperacao e da Língua.
The approved projects were known as of April 13.
“Additional support will also be provided for the recovery of recognized infrastructure on the Island of Mozambique, such as the first authorities identified in correspondence with the first authorities identified in Mozambique and with the partners involved” within the framework of the Portuguese cooperation that the district – capital of the country and Portuguese heritage relic of the Mozambican coast.
