Electricity, Electricity Prices | The average price for electricity in northern Norway rises sharply on Monday
In northern Norway, there will be an average price for electricity of NOK 0.53 per kilowatt time (kWh) on Monday and a maximum price of NOK 0.84.
It reports the power exchange Nord Pool on its websites. Monday’s average price per kWh is NOK 0.32 higher than Sunday and NOK 0.42 higher than the same day the year before.
In addition to the spot price for electricity, there is a consumption tax (16.69 øre per kWh), a tax for Enova (1 øre per kWh) and any surcharges from the electricity companies. On top of all that, a VAT of 25 percent is added, and for itself comes the grid rent. In Nordland, Troms and Finnmark, there is no VAT on electricity, and in Finnmark and North Troms you also avoid paying the consumption tax.
The maximum price on Monday of NOK 0.84 per kWh is between 8 and 9 in the morning. It is NOK 0.53 higher than on Sunday and NOK 0.67 higher than on the same day the year before.
The minimum price is NOK 0.24 per kWh between 0 and 1 o’clock at night and is the lowest in the country.
