Benefits introduced for Uzbek exporters to Russia and Belarus
TASHKENT, April 3 – Sputnik. Uzbek companies exporting to Russia, Belarus and Ukraine will not incur a penalty on debts for bank loans.
They also extend the waiver of this protection.
“Until the end of the year, enterprises operating with a high degree in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus will not be fined for receivables; Making a decision to retain exporters, excessive spending on countries on bank loans will be increased, fines and penalties will not be levied,” said Sherzod Asadov, press secretary of the President of Uzbekistan.
In his opinion, banks will provide entrepreneurs with an additional 10 trillion soums of “revolving” loans for the purchase of working capital.
“These funds will, in turn, be aimed at exporters, manufacturers of food and consumer goods,” Asadov added first.
The term for the application of customs privileges in respect of shares, equipment, spare parts imported for needs will be extended from the current six months to a year.
Russia remains one of the major foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan, the investments of Russian companies in exports have already exceeded $10 million.
At the end of 2021, Russia regained the first place among the main trade representatives of Uzbekistan with a share of 17.9% in its total foreign trade turnover, overtaking China (17.7%).
According to average data, trade between the two countries increased by 32.8% last year, to 7,517 billion.
