Portugal granted over 26,000 protected protection requests
The number of protected protection requests from Ukrainian citizens and foreigners living in Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion granted by Portugal rose to 26,165.
According to data from the Aliens and Borders Service (SEF), 9323 of these requests are for minors.
The SEF is an online platform, in three languages, for requests for protection for Ukrainian residents. The website SEFforUkraine.sef.pt “enables all citizens and their family members (household), as well as any foreign person residing in Ukraine, to carry out a one-year protection survey online, extendable for two periods of months”, according to the SEF request. .
During the process to protect work in Portugal, citizens who require access to tax, Social Security and National Health Service numbers can benefit from these services and enter the health market.
The platform also contains information on other aspects of reception and integration of displaced people.
