Salzburg – Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, 12:52 p.m
As soon as VSV was eliminated in the semifinals of the win2day ICE Hockey League, the Villachers are already working on the squad for the coming season.
The comeback of an old acquaintance is in the offing: VSV should bring goalkeeper Jean-Philippe Lamoureux back from EC Red Bull Salzburg, reports the “Kronen Zeitung”.
Accordingly, the 37-year-old American is said to have already signed a two-year contract with the Carinthians.
Officially, the deal should only become after the end of the Salzburg season. The “Red Bulls”, who were able to celebrate their home championship title after VSV’s defeat, challenge the Hungarian team from Fehervar in the “best-of-seven” final series (1st game on Tuesday, April 5th, 7:45 p.m.).
Lamoureux already kept the VSV goal from 2012 to 2016, after a stint with the Vienna Capitals he moved to Salzburg in 2019.
