A reference to allegedly pro-Russian associations no longer appears on the “SOS Ukraine” link, the official website of the High Commissioner for Migration (ACM), a week after the complaint made in the Renaissance. These references, however, in another Link and the associations concerned are designated as Ukrainian.
A little over a week ago, the Ukrainian ambassador denounced, in statements to Renaissance, that some associations suggested for the reception of refugees on the website “SOS Ukraine”, of the High Commissioner for Migration, would, in practice, be pro-Russian associations. Inna Ohnivets warned of the risks this could pose.
These associations were, however, withdrawn. The point is that not only have disappeared as organizations also pro-Russia, but those that, arguably, the Ukrainian community. They all appeared, as they advance now, to the RenaissancePavlo Sadokha, the president of the Association of Ukrainians in Portugal.
“A few days after the news made by the Radio Renaissance, this information, on the SOS Ukraine page of the High Commissioner for Migration, has been removed. But they were removed not only as references to the associations that we call Russian, but also all the information about the Ukrainian associations was removed”, he explains.
Allegedly pro-Russian associations designated as Ukrainian in another link
Disappeared as references in the link “SOS Ukraine”, they were pro-Russian associations, or not, but the Renaissance which can also be consulted elsewhere, on the website of the High Commissioner for Migration, where there remains a list of immigrant associations currently recognized by the ACM.
Some of the organizations are expressly stated not all are. Some, allegedly, links to the Russian embassy, warn the president of the Association of Ukrainians in Portugal:
“Exactly, for example the Mir Association. The entire Ukrainian community knows that it is against Ukraine, it has always spoken badly about Ukraine and its government. It is therefore an association with direct links to the Russian embassy. It also lists, for example, for example, an association with direct links to the Russian embassy. , the organization Edinstvo appears, whose representative is coordinator of the Russian community in Portugal.”
In other words, says Pavlo Sadokha, these companies are cranial as if they were”.
This is a complaint also made to the Renaissance by the ambassador of Ukraine in Portugal. A concern that has already been transferred to the High Commissioner as Migrações, Sónia Pereira.
Inna Ohnivets says that the website has a list of associations recognized by the High Commission as Migrations.
“On this list there are Ukrainian associations that are not, in fact, Ukrainian. For example, Edinstvo, Friendship, Mir are not Ukrainian. I have already brought this situation to the attention of the High Commissioner”, pointing out.
Request for clarification to the High Commissioner for Migration
More than once, in the last few days, the Renaissance asked for further clarification from Sónia Pereira, the high commissioner. From her office, she said that it would be unfeasible this week, due to scheduling difficulties.
These explanations can, however, be advanced on Monday, to the Association of Ukrainians in Portugal. This is what Pavlo Sadokha, the president of the Association of Ukrainians in Portugal, expects:
“Already after the notification made by the Radio Renaissance, contacted by the High Commissioner for Migration, we arranged a meeting with the High Commissioner and this matter was discussed. The meeting is scheduled for April 4 in advance.
Early next week there will likely be new information about this case.
