Sweden’s Renewcell signs LOI with Birla Cellulose for MMCF

The agreement confirms the two companies’ intention to work together to deliver high-quality Liva Reviva textile fibers made with Circulose, Renewcell’s 100 percent recycled textile raw material, to global fashion brands and the textile industry in the coming years. The common ambition is to use 30,000 tonnes of Circulose per year. The agreement has been facilitated by Renewcell’s exclusive global trading partner Ekman Group, Renewcell says in a press release.
The LOI signed between Renewcell and Grasim Industries Limited provides the framework for a future purchase agreement between the parties. The future divestiture agreement will establish commercial terms for the delivery of certain volumes of Circulose dissolving pulp to Birla Cellulose for several years. Birla Cellulose intends to use Circulose as one of the raw materials in the production of artificial cellulose fibers under the Liva Reviva brand, to be delivered to textile manufacturers and fashion brands worldwide.
The Swedish textile-to-textile recycling company Renewcell has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Birla Cellulose, the pulp and fiber business for Grasim Industries Limited, a flagship of the Aditya Birla Group and artificial cellulose fiber manufacturers. LOI refers to a long-term commercial collaboration for the production of artificial cellulose fibers (MMCF).
