San Marino, postage stamp dedicated to Ivan Graziani
The post office of the Republic of San Marino will put up for sale a sheet of the Teramo singer-songwriter, at the philatelic counters, on April 5th. The notched relates to the singer-songwriter and guitarist Ivan Graziani twenty-five years after his death, on January 1, 1997, which took place in the city of Novafeltria (Rimini).
We remember the singer-songwriter was born in Teramo on 6 October 1945.
As for the philatelic issue, it comes with four 1.10 euro stamps that differ in the background of the photo (green, yellow, red and light blue). The stamps represent the musician, while the different colors are inspired by Pop Art. They are collected in thirty thousand sheets, one for each series of four.
Ivan Graziani as a child learns to play the guitar as a self-taught.
In 1966 he enrolled at the Urbino Art Institute, where he met Anna, his companion for life.
In those years he formed the first group with Velio Gualazzi and Walter Monacchi with the name Anonima Sound. In 1973 he published the first thirty-three solo laps, “The city that I would like”.
He participates in recordings, plays and writes for the PFM. Bruno Lauzi and Antonello Venditti.
In 1977 the success with the single “Lugano addio”, extracted from the album “I lupi”.
