The Italian Minister of Justice, Marta Cartabia, applauds San Marino that “keeping faith with its tradition, it has opened the doors to 300 Ukrainian refugees”. Cartabia, public speaker for the entry into office of the two new Captains Regent Oscar Mina and Paolo Rondelli, also stressed the adherence to the Republic of San Marino to the sanctioning regime of the European Union against Russia and to NATO resolutions. “These steps – he said – they allowed San Marino to make a high and clear choice, made unanimously by the Great and General Council and the Congress of State, with an updated interpretation of historical neutrality. A wise choice aligned with the evolution of the principles of the rule of law at the international level “. “I wish – he concluded – therefore that, alongside the agreements signed with Italy, the extended interaction with the Brussels institutions in recent weeks may be a good omen to intensify the negotiations and complete the negotiations for the association agreement between San Marino and the ” European Union”.
