Kostroma Republican Libraries series of events dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of the Republic of Belarus and Russia

Russian and Belarusian holiday at the state level April 2. For 3 years, the Centralized Library System of Kostroma, together with colleagues from the Republic of Belarus, has been implementing the international cultural project “Friendly Cities: Kostroma – Bobruisk”. Every year, within the framework of the program of city cycles, events are held dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of the Republic of Belarus and Russia.
This Saturday, Library No. 15, the center of national cultures and reversible cities, invites Kostroma residents to the Day of Belarusian Culture. A thematic exhibition and review “Literature brings nations together” will be organized here. Readers will have an hour of the young artist “Like the waters of one river: Belarus and Russia”.
A number of events organized online. City Library named after A.S. Pushkina offers to see the virtual exhibition “Painting of Bobruisk”, excursions “My Love – Berezina” and “Historical Bobruisk”. Young Kostroma residents go on a space journey through the city of Bobruisk together with Fortik the beaver.
Also, an online literature review “Books of Belarusian authors in the Central City Library named after A.I. A.S. Pushkin” and a video reading of poems by Yanka Kupala, a classic of Belarusian literature, the national poet of the Republic of Belarus. The videos appeared in the library of Kostroma for the 140th anniversary of the poet. All online events can be viewed at City Centralized Library System website.
