VSPT Wines gets Sustainable Choice Seal in Sweden
The Chilean wine producers GatoNegro and Santa Helena, both part of the VSPT Wine Group, have won the right to present the sustainable seal on their bottles when they are sold on the Swedish market.
Following an extensive review by the Swedish Monopoly, which considered the use of eco-packaging, ethical working conditions for employees and the products’ environmental footprint, two wines produced by GatoNegro and two wines by Santa Helena have been given the right to carry the durable seal.
GatoNegro Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, and Santa Helena Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere (all produced in Chile’s Central Valley) will be adorned with the green sticker to show that they have been accredited.
VSPT Wines is a leader in the production of Chilean and Argentine wines and has been one of the critical innovative forces in New World wine.
In addition to preparing to use 100% sustainable packaging by 2030, VSPT is also committed to achieving carbon dioxide neutrality by 2050. This latest award is a recognition of the steps they have taken towards these goals, and shows Swedish consumers that both GatoNegro and Santa Helena are brands you can trust.
Head of Corporate Affairs and Innovation, Bárbara Wolff, described VSPT Wine’s approach: “We are proud of our progress and the commitment we have made to sustainability. Setting ambitious goals allows us to move forward at a steady pace and challenge both the industry and us themselves, to renew and aim higher and higher. ”
