Covid, San Marino: the state of emergency ends
“Halfway point on the Titan, a state of emergency tomorrow decade”. Confirming the further step towards the coveted normality is the Secretary for Labor Teodoro Lonfernini during the conference of yesterday’s Congress.
Stop at the turn of the screw
San Marino had already said goodbye to the green pass on March 25, putting all the certifications in the drawer. Now comes a further softening of the measures. Not only as a result of the decrees issued, of course, but of actions that the Government, Lonfernini points out, “continues to draw up with the Coordination Group for emergencies, as well as the Secretariat for Health and Congress”. In any case, the door will remain open, “by monitoring the situation – he clarifies – also in light of what will happen in the neighboring regions”. Therefore, based on the pandemic trend, it will be possible to review both the road map of the state of emergency and the obligation to wear a mask “in closed and crowded places”. But the secretary reassures: “At the moment the situation appears stable above all thanks to the elimination of hospitalizations in the Intensive”. In fact, there are 309 active cases, a front of 35 positives recorded in the last 24 hours. The number of hospitalizations in Isolamento fell from 11 to 10, and finally the number of citizens followed at home to 299.
I refugees
“A game of great solidarity managed by an ad hoc decree”. This is how the secretary defines the welcome reserved for Ukrainian refugees. “As many as three hundred people hosted with great effort by ecclesiastical and humanitarian associations but also private citizens”. An incredible answer, he explains, albeit studded with “aspects to be regulated in order to be fully effective, especially on the education front for young people, or on the work and play front”. Instead, the limit of attendance has already been reached that it will not be possible to exceed, he reiterates, while the police will still be vigilant on the entrances. Data in hand, he concludes, “only 27 Ukrainians are housed in public facilities, namely those of Montegiardino until now dedicated to the health emergency”.
