The designer and the shipyard have announced details of their new collaboration concept …
Swedish company Tillberg Design of Sweden has unveiled a yacht design in collaboration with German superyacht builders Nobiskrug. Yacht Lycka at 77 m (252 feet) has been designed and constructed to embrace the latest technology with an adaptable, Scandinavian-inspired interior and deck spaces in a modern and sporty package.
Happiness is named after the Swedish word for “happiness” and has been designed to offer owners and guests a home away from home in a Scandinavian space designed to evoke a feeling of rejuvenation, well-being and connection to the sea.
Happiness has an expansive interior, which boasts Scandinavian-inspired simplicity with elements of luxury. An open floor plan highlighted by large rooms, tall windows and collapsible balconies allows the interior and exterior to blend in with the main deck, which consists of a spacious lounge and a formal dining area.
Midship, the foyer has a spiral staircase that surrounds an elevator that rises from the guest cabins on the lower deck to the bridge deck above. A well-equipped kitchenette and pantry are located to port, while a breakfast nook with an additional fold-down balcony has been placed to starboard just outside the owner’s suite. The full-beam owner suite has a seating area and a private bathroom including a dressing room.
Lycka has been designed to accommodate up to 14 guests in the previously mentioned owner suite plus six additional guest suites of the same size on the lower deck. Crew rooms with ten double cabins are located in front.
The attention to detail is seen through Lykka’s design, on the bridge deck is a combination gym / spa aft of the wheelhouse followed by office, dayhead and sky lounge. The captain’s residence and a pantry with dedicated crew access to the kitchenette below are also on this deck.
The outer spaces are maximized throughout the 77-meter design, with lounge and bar located on the aft deck, a grand dining and relaxation area on the jetty deck aft, and a sun deck equipped with an elongated jacuzzi tub surrounded by sun protection tiles forward with a bar and further relaxation and entertainment acts.
Intended to incorporate the latest technology, Happiness is designed to meet Lloyd’s Register certification and can be equipped with either diesel or hybrid propulsion. TDoS ‘selection of sustainable materials is also included in the design, which can be adapted to suit the owner’s wishes.
“Happiness has been purposefully designed for long life – from the hull shape to the choice of material to the technical systems – to meet future requirements as well as environmental requirements,” says Daniel Nerhagen, TDoS’s Partner & Yacht Director. “In collaboration with a well-known German shipyard for this design, our goal is to create a yacht that can stand the test of time with the highest possible build quality.
The graph above highlights Nobiskrug’s deliveries since 2017 and their average LOA (m). During the period 2017 to 2021, Nobiskrug delivered two projects, but their order book looks stable, with one project to be delivered every year until 2025.
