From 29 September two weekly flights will connect Rimini with Bucharest
AIRiminum 2014, the management company of the Rimini and San Marino International Airport, announces the announcement of the new Rimini – Bucharest route operated by the Wizzair company which will start with two weekly flights from 29 September 2022. “The importance of bringing Rimini a company like Wizzair – comments Leonardo Corbucci, CEO of Airiminum 2014 – is already showing itself in full in this first particular year with these first two routes, which will start in the summer season but will also extend into the winter season, thus representing a stable connection for all the year. The real potential of this strategic agreement – which will expire in 2027 – will however become increasingly evident in the coming years, when the programs underway with this leading European company will support connections for Romagna with other important European and extra-European capitals. . Today we greet with satisfaction the opening of a new destination that we have been wooing for years and that we have finally brought to Romagna. This connection with the Romanian capital – which due to its elegance has not by chance been renamed “the little Paris” – will have a threefold value for the territory: • for the Romagna people, adding to the other European capitals (Vienna, Budapest, London , Luxembourg, Warsaw), already connected to the Rimini airport, to go and visit; • for the important resident Romanian community (the first in Italy and Emilia-Romagna in terms of number), finally representing an easy and comfortable connection with their families and loved ones; • for tour operators, considering the significant growth in tourist attendance figures recorded in the years prior to the Covid stop. Tickets can already be purchased on the company’s website and through the WIZZ app with fares starting from € 19.99. Paulina Gosk, Corporate Communication Manager of Wizz Air, said: “There is nothing that gives us more satisfaction than being able to facilitate the interchange between destinations so prestigious and loved by passengers. The new Rimini – Bucharest route represents for us a further step forward in strengthening the presence of Wizz Air in Italy, making the airports of the peninsula the nerve centers of our network. ”
