Another innovation award is launched in Portugal (the new government forced the jury to change)
What’s the best way for an innovation consultant to celebrate 25 years of life? Launching an award dedicated to innovative projects in a scientific and business context with potential for internationalization, responds Eurico Neves, executive and consultant of Inova+, thus distinguished for “scientific and business excellence”.

“Innovation is not talent, but competence. And it is the key to the growth of organizations and countries”. This is the key to the search for daily activity and the company in its daily activity and also a special distinction from the jury to a personality, their performance in the areas of R&D and innovation and participation in international projects, in the Scientific and Business categories.
“We intend an open and open innovation environment, promoting cooperation, such as partnerships and international experiences and a technological vision. But we also intend to bring to the day-to-day projects of people and companies, helping to access funding sources, namely national and transnational European funds”, says Eurico Neves.
Applications open this Wednesday, take place from June 30, being later later by the jury that began with an investigation investigated Elvira Fortunato as head of choice, but hers had to be reformulated to integrate the new socialist government of António Costa, as Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education.
In the new composition, the jury of this prize of 30 thousand euros continues to integrate the personality of the academic and business world: Goreti Sales, Associate Professor at FCTUC – Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra, Lillian Barros, Researcher at CIMO-IPB ( Mountain Research Center of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança), Fernando Lobo Pereira, Full Professor at FEUP – Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, Verónica Orvalho, Founder and Executive President of DIDIMO – Digital Humans Avatars, a start from Porto that creates digital versions of any human being in high fidelity, and Eurico Neves.
The National Innovation Agency (ANI), the Council of Rectors of Portuguese Universities (CRUP), the Coordinating Council of Higher Polytechnic Institutes (CCISP) and AIP – Associação Industrial Portuguesa are partners in this initiative.
