Marseille-Ajaccio in 15′ with the Hyperloop, it’s for 2023! (embargo March 31)
Jérôme Loupé: “Not at all, we don’t make sensational declarations, but we are moving forward, we are moving forward, even…
TourMaG.com – What do you mean by that?
Jérôme Loupé: “First of all, I would like to remind you of the principle of the hyperloop, which Elon Musk, who is not a joke, brought the proven concept of the Hyperloop up to date.
To sum up, it is a capsule that moves in a vacuum tube. It is raised by an air cushion system or by a magnetic levitation system which succeeds in levitating above the rails, in order to reduce friction.
TourMaG.com – More concretely, how does it work?
Jérôme Loupé: “The capsules are propelled by induction motors which use electrical energy to generate an electromagnetic field. These motors are placed at regular intervals in the tubes and transmit the energy through electromagnets attached to the capsules.
Thanks to this principle, we can, in complete safety, easily transport passengers and goods and reach supersonic speeds, of the order of 1000 kilometers per hour.
TourMaG.com — Why especially Marseille-Ajaccio?
Jérôme Loupé: “Because it’s the ideal distance (approximately 300 km) to carry out full-scale tests. We are now able to reach a theoretical speed of 1,102 km/h, which will allow us to offer services in 15 minutes between the Island of Beauty and the mainland.
