A 12-year-old fled from Odesa to Asker
NESØYA (Aftenposten): Artem (12) had never traveled with such a large bus before. What he experienced on the trip to Asker, he had never imagined could happen.
He thought the windows would blow out. Artem Sandetskyi (12) was sitting at his desk in the middle of the classroom when he heard a strong smell. He felt at the school building in Odesa shaking.
A plane had crashed seven kilometers away from the school.
Then the mother called.
“Come home as soon as you can,” she said.
Russia had invaded Ukraine a few hours earlier. Her mother knew what she had to do now:
Get your son safely home to Nesøya in Norway.
