Belarus plans to increase the volume of cargo transportation through the Astrakhan region
One of the first passengers of this flight will be young Astrakhan residents. We are ready to invite our Belarusian partners to use the possibilities of our transport and logistics package. “Provides production through our region, through our transport and logistics hub for the production of its products in the countries of Southeast Asia and with subsequent transit in the regions of the world,” said Governor of the Astrakhan Region Igor Babushkin.
This year, it is planned to increase the transshipment of wood processing enterprises of Belarus through the ports of our region to 128,000 tons. They will increase the production of products of the chemical industry and mechanical engineering. In addition, the head of the Astrakhan region noted that the region is interested in Belarusian agricultural machinery, building materials and elevators.
“Today, logistics chains are broken in the world, so we strive to look for new directions, new sales markets. At the level of recommendations of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, the issue of signing an agreement on the transshipment and transportation of Belarusian cargo through the Russian port has now been signed,” said First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus Aleksey Lyakhnovich.
