Tour Operator Podium: About Tourism
First of all, a necessary clarification: CTO, the tourism committee organized by San Marino, does not represent all the tour operators of San Marino as unfortunately often stated. Several of us are out of it and although Podium Tour Operator the reason is the non-sharing of methodologies, methods and quality of requests.
Tourism has restarted and the companies in the sector, which are structured to engage this restart, are working.
Certainly not yet at pre-pandemic levels, but with a respectable rate of re-employment of its collaborators.
It would take the intervention of politics and social partners to understand that all is not yet well, but the perspective of investments, if ever there should be, must be in the direction of restarting in support of, those in progress, or already made and not of welfare as an end in itself.
We see screams and when we are not even wrong information. And this can no longer be kept silent.
We need to share this information to remove the often self-defeating and confusing decisions that no one needs.
At the present time the Italian tourism market, despite the international situation, is rapidly accelerating, at times even explosive.
The restart, to be fully engaged and effective, needs a strategic vision of the policy and plans for the future by the companies in the sector.
The support, to what remains to be recovered, should be translated into flexibility, agile work, possible part-time, recovery of part of the investments (for those who made them), through tax credits, and so on.
In the current situation, if there are no further emergencies, the first necessity remains, in addition to the above, flexibility in the management of working hours for what is still lacking for full employment in the sector.
