San Marino. Olive tree pruning course: registration is open
“The Environmental and Agricultural Resources Management Office and the San Marino Olive Growers Cooperative invite those interested in participating in the Olive Tree Pruning Course 2022 to book, in such a way as to allow the organization of compliance in the measure of health care for the contrast to the spread of Covid-19 “.
One breaking news is a press release. “The course, curated by the technical expert in olive growing dr. Stefano Cerni, will be organized in a single day (to be repeated based on the number of members) and divided into two parts:
morning: 9.00 – 12.00 theoretical part at Casa Fabrica in Strada di Montecchio, 11 San Marino (the headquarters of the Terra di San Marino Consortium);
afternoon: 2.30 pm – 5.30 pm practice (the indications on how to carry out the pruning and the location of the olive groves will be communicated to the participants later).
The course will mainly focus on the polyconic vase form of pruning.
Data: Saturday 2 April 2022, with possible repetitions on Saturday 9 April and any other days to be programmed based on the total number of participants.
The cost for each participant is 20.00 Euros, to be paid at the beginning of the course.

Furthermore, the Environmental and Agricultural Resources Management Office and the Sammarinesi Olive Growers Cooperative intend to organize for all interested olive growers some technical meetings on olive grove management, soil protection, organic farming techniques, the main diseases and adversities of olive tree and the methods of struggle, the nutrition of the olive trees, the quality of extra virgin olive oil.
These technical meetings, open to all, will be held by UGRAA technicians in Borgo Maggiore at the Joe Cassar room (Ex-International room) in the evening and on a date to be communicated later “.
