Voyah is officially in place in Norway
The first company from the Dongfeng group, the major Chinese player behind the car brand Voyah, is now based in Norway.
Dongfeng is a real heavyweight in China, the world’s largest car market.
As one of the big four along with Changan, FAW and SAIC, Dongfeng spits out millions of cars a year, and is behind a number of brands.
The very latest Voyah, and will make electric cars for the entire global market.
For the new brand launched as late as 2020, not only has Chinese ambitions, but wants out into the big world.
First stop?
Yes, Norway.
And they’re having a bad time.
Because through the Chinese press release service, The China Box has now sent out an international press release, and there they state: «Voyah. New journey. New destination ».
That means Norway, and this press release confirms that Dongfeng Imp. & Exp. Is officially in place in our little kingdom.
– The trip to Norway marks Voyah’s entry abroad, says Ma Lei, the CEO of Dongfeng Imp. & Exp. Fort.
– In the future, we will focus on Voyah products and platforms for customers across a number of European markets.
At the same time, Dongfeng also confirms that they have signed an agreement with the importer Electric Way Norway, a company in the Sulland group which, among other things, is behind a number of car dealers.
– It is our pleasure to work with Dongfeng Motor, one of the largest car manufacturers in China, so that Voyah is introduced in Norway – the first stop in Europe, says Torje Aleksander Sulland, CEO of Electric Way Norway.
– We look forward to showing Norwegians Voyah Free, an exclusive and comfortable premium electric car with a good selection and high level of equipment, intelligence and excellent performance to meet Norwegians’ needs. It will definitely be a hit.
Here is Sulland with Cheng Hua from Dongfeng:
Over at Voyah, it goes away at a breathtaking pace, and already this summer, the brand will open its very first showroom outside China’s borders.
It happens in Klingenberggata not far from the Palace in the middle of Oslo, and then several other cities will follow.
The first model is as Sulland says Voyah Free, and this will be launched in Norway already in June. The plan is for the first customer deliveries to be completed as early as the end of the year.
Furthermore, Voyah will grow into several other European countries, update the software and establish customer relationships, as well as establishing something Dongfeng himself calls a “Chinese technology” label that will do its job to grow further in Europe.
