San Marino. First international outing with podium for blue-white rhythmic gymnastics
On the weekend of 19-20 March the San Marino Gymnastics Federation lined up at the 34th MTM KRG Narodni Tournament in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The team made up of Gloria Ambrogiani, Eva Bombagioni, Gioia Casali, Annalisa Giovannini, Camilla Rossi And Matilde Tamagnini accompany by technique Maria Chiara Bacciocchi and by the international judge Federica Protti.
The tournament saw the participation of many militant gymnasts in noble societies, including Milena Baldassarri, Italian individualist gymnast of the National Rhythmic Gymnastics team and the presence of some athletes of national interest.
Saturday morning for San Marino he broke the ice Eva Bombagioni in the category Pre-Junior A, year 2009, with ball and clubs. Eva had a good performance and, despite some small loss of equipment during the execution of her exercises and a bit of understandable fear, she reached 27th out of 46 athletes participating. Considering that the gymnast was on her international debut, the result she achieved is to be considered more positive.
In the category Junior A2007, with program on two tools, they competed Camilla Rossi to the hoop and clubs e Annalisa Giovannini, to the circle and the ball confronting 22 athletes. The two gymnasts played a beautiful competition: thanks to their elegance and good performances, they concluded the competition by reaching the foot of the podium in the general classification, 4th Annalisa and 6th Camilla. In the ranking by tool, San Marino has even risen on the third step with the very good Annalisa Giovannini, who was awarded a bronze medal in the specialty to the ball. Both Annalisa and Camilla also came close to the podium in the specialty classification with hoop and clubs, finishing both quarters.
The gymnasts Gloria Ambrogiani, Gioia Casali And Matilde Tamagnini they competed with the FIG program, with rotation up four tools divided into two days and summative final ranking.
For the category Junior FIG Joy And Glory they performed on Saturday at the hoop and ball while on Sunday at the clubs and ribbon. Unfortunately, due to some too many inaccuracies and some time wasters of the tool, albeit with overall good executions, they completed the race, reaching Glory 29ª and Joy 31st in the summative ranking, out of 34 athletes.
The gymnast concluded the trip Matilde Tamagninicompeting in the two days always in the late afternoon but, while on the day some loss and inaccuracy to the ball affected her score, Sunday with the clubs and tape she obtained better evaluations, which allowed her to finish her competition in 16th position out of 19 athletes.
This international tournament always represents an excellent opportunity for the white and blue athletes, to test the new exercises on the one hand and become familiar and confident on the other and arrive at ever more precise executions in view of future appointments. This event was an important platform test for all, an opportunity for growth and comparison with the international scene as well as an opportunity to learn to improve and never give up.
