Ukraine expects China to be one of the guarantors of security
Ukraine is actively involved in the formation of new security, in the near future there is a system of talks between the leaders of the two countries.
This was announced by the head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak video meetings at the Royal Institute of International Affairs Chatham House (UK), Ukrinform reports.
“First of all, we expect a conversation between the leaders of the People’s Republic of China and the President of Ukraine, and that China will take a very active part in shaping the security system for Ukraine and act as a guarantor of this security,” Yermak said.
He said that China’s participation has greatly strengthened the future security system.
The head of the OP noted that China has an influence as a player on the world stage and Ukraine’s largest trading partner.
“We see China’s neutral position at the moment, but we hope that in our view, China, as one of the world leaders, should play a greater role today in ending this war and building a new security system,” Ermak said.
On February 24, Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure, creating massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
