Turismo de Portugal and Beta-i seek startups to accelerate the transition in energy Tourism
Turismo de Portugal and the collaborative innovation consultancy Beta-i, in partnership with EDP, are looking for startups that contribute to the promotion of sustainability in tourism and that find solutions to accelerate the energy transition in the sector.

The fifth of The Green Journey program aims to “reinforce the positioning of a safe and tourist destination” and searches from all over the world to help companies in tourism “for the sustainable development of pilot projects that aim to promote energy use, reduce environmental impact of the promotion of Portugal as a destination of choice for tourists and companies with the environmental management of the sector”, explains the statement in a statement.
Enter and, as the best selected startups and as affiliated companies of the program, they will develop pilots under the technical management of the consultancy Beta-i, focused on the theme of energy transition.

Over the past four editions, the program has received over 400 solutions and business models for evaluation from nearly 80 countries, and selected 56 startups to collaborate with 20 industry partners giving 51 pilots with real industry impact.
