Maestripieri (CISL), serving the ‘permanent’ Genoa model
(ANSA) – GENOA, MARCH 22 – “We must make a qualitative leap and be equally capable of discovering the pleasure of unfolding the same unity of purpose and action, a sort of” permanent Genoa model “to be spent even in the phases of growth and new opportunities and not only in the emerging phases “. This is the proposal that Luca Maestripieri, secretary general of CISL Liguria who, barring surprises, is about to reconfirm tomorrow, launches to the business world in his report at the XIII congress “Be there to change” at the Magazzini del Cotone in Genoa. An idea that also for the President of the Region Giovanni Toti is “a beautiful suggestion and this is what we have been trying to do for some time: it transforms this Region into a model of administrative, political and economic efficiency”. Maestripieri has removed that after the collapse of Ponte Morandi “all the healthy forces of the city and the region, the social and economic representatives have given an example of unity with our institutions and this has allowed us to obtain resources and tools for a rapid construction of the new viaduct “and this is the way forward also in this phase.
Among the issues addressed in the report, Maestripieri also touched on that of infrastructures, underlining the need for many interventions “starting from what has become an emergency: the modernization of a motorway network which day after day is proving its inadequacy”. And in this regard, “continuing to delay the opening of construction sites on the eaves, which has once again disappeared from all radar, is nothing short of irresponsible”. The congress was attended by 200 delegates (for 119,500 members) representing 18 federations and today the general council of 80 people was elected who tomorrow will elect the general secretary of CISL Liguria, the members of the regional secretariat and the heads of the provinces.
