la note interne des salariés qui défendent Costil face aux accusations des Ultras
DOCUMENT RMC SPORT – The Social and Economic Committee (CSE) of the Girondins de Bordeaux sent an internal press release to denounce the accusations of racism “without proof” and the insults of ultra supporters against Benoît Costil.
After the players, the employees in turn defend Benoît Costil. RMC Sport obtained this Tuesday the press release sent internally by the Social and Economic Committee (CSE) of FC Girondins de Bordeaux. He denounces the “accusations” and “insults” of ultra supporters against the French international goalkeeper during the 2-0 defeat suffered on Sunday in the league against Montpellier at Matmut Atlantique. “Racist Costil” were chanted in particular in the stands during the second period.
Faced with these accusations “without proof”, the staff representatives of the Bordeaux club alerted management to “remind them that they have a duty to protect all of their employees”. The CSE, to whom the management indicated that it had “taken the measure of the situation”, said it hoped for a return to a “more serene” climate.
Before the release of this press release, RMC Sport reported significant support from the locker room and many employees for Benoît Costil. Uncertainty still remains about the future of the latter, who announced his departure from the club hot to several of his teammates, before finally having his position assessed.
The press release from the Social and Economic Committee of FCGB employees:
“Hello,
The CSE has received several messages from worried employees since Sunday evening. During the match against Montpellier, one of our players was targeted by our most fervent supporters. Insults and accusations from the Virage followed and were not aimed at the player but at the man.
The CSE has alerted the Club’s Management to this subject. He reminded her that she has a duty to protect all of her employees, in particular when one of them is accused of an offense without proof to date or put in danger at their place of work.
Management assured us that they had taken the measure of the situation.
The priority now is to find a more serene climate to make room for the athlete. In this complicated time for the Club, we all need to be united“.
