From climate change to data science: MIT Portugal has 40 PhD grants | Scientific investigation
O MIT Portugal Programfinanced by Foundation for Science and TechnologyApplications are now open for the installation of 40 doctoral research grants, starting in the academic year 2022/2023.
As grants intended for candidates based on research in areas such as Climate Science and Climate Change, Earth Systems – from Oceans to Space, Digital Transformation in Manufacturing, Sustainable City and Science, Sustainable City and Sciences of the Academic Degree of Doctor in Portuguese universities.
The work plan can take place in a national institution (with a scholarship worth 1144.64 euros) or partially in a foreign institution (a mixed scholarship worth 1953.65 euros). Applications are open until 17:00 (Lisbon time) on 11 April 2022.
“Students of unique and relevant initiatives in specific areas for their careers are here unique and effective initiatives for their national and international performance. These grants also allow integration into the MIT Portugal community, which will enhance the development of the individual skills of each candidate”, says the director of MIT Portugal, Pedro Arezes, in a statement sent to P3.
This is the third edition of the MIT Portugal program that has already supported 73 young researchers in the development of their research projects. “We hope to continue the scope of applications by attracting young and international researchers who reside in Portugal and come from the most varied universities in the country”, highlights the director of MIT Portugal.
The grants will be financed by FCT under the collaboration protocol signed between FCT MIT Portugal. The must access the place from MIT Portugal and submit your application.
