This Climate Survival Guide was produced as a duo, with Cyrielle Hariel, a journalist specializing in the social and solidarity economy. The two authors wrote this 208-page guide to offer everyone “a soon-to-be-needed toolbox” to deal with climate issues. The book was released at the start of 2022.
“We are convinced that we are not going towards the end of the world, but towards the end of a world. And to approach it in the best possible way, you have to prepare for it”,
To do this, they called on famous and recognized contributors (Bertrand Piccard, Father Pedro, Mike Horn, Jean-Louis Etienne, Guillaume Nery) as well as other experts (a Sherpa, a Touareg, soldiers… ) who have already experienced the extreme situations that we are announcing about global warming.
Practical tips
They also met researchers and scientists who have been thinking about ways to reinvent our daily future and provide solutions to the new challenges facing us. Because survival is coming near you, this guide will allow you to welcome it better prepared and less stressed.
Practical, this book presents the different dimensions to be taken into account in the form of thematic chapters (how to cool down through breathing, how to find water in all circumstances, etc.).
Each contains actionable information with techniques, tips, and tricks. You will also find inserts with expert interviews, testimonials from people who have experienced these situations or feedback from the field.
by Cyrielle Hariel and Patrice Gascoin. Editions Massot. Price: €16.90, 208 pages.
