San Marino, head of state accused of sexual harassment
One of the two regent captains of San Marinothe heads of state who remain in office for six months, he is accused of sexual harassment by an employee of the Palazzo Pubblico. The story dates back to the first days of March and is widely reported by the San Marino newspaper L’Informazione, according to which Giacomo Simoncini (center left) in his early thirties would have undressed in front of an office worker. The employee would have first turned to an employee of the Regency and the matter was then reported to the Government.
The woman then turned to a lawyer who would inform the judiciary unofficially by announcing the presentation of a complaint the day after April 1, when the mandate of the current regents will end, to avoid embarrassments to the highest institutional office of the Republic of San Marine. But even before the State Court, to deal with the matter, according to the Titan system, should be the Syndicate of the Regency a sort of people’s court established in 1499 and which provides that three days before the end of the mandate citizens can expose findings and complaints against the Heads of State.
