Anthony Turgis: “Positioning was very important”
With Daniel Oss, Pierre Sagan or Edvald Boasson Hagen, Anthony Turgis was able to count on the experience of his teammates to place himself perfectly in the front positions of the peloton as he approached the Cipressa. After the finish, the Frenchman shared some regrets about his race. “We come here to win. When you see that victory is within reach and in the legs, it’s a bit frustrating. We will say that it was a very good day too, we must not see only the negative. This bodes very well for the future for me. We left one or two runners with me because we knew that positioning was very important. […] I know I have the skills to win. It is enough to have a good day, that the planets are well aligned.”
