Lisbon Chamber resumes decentralized public meetings suspended since the beginning of the pandemic – Observer
The Lisbon City Council announced this Monday the reopening of decentralized public meetings, suspended the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and indicated that the next one will take place in the parish of Boeta de Campolide.
“The meeting will take place in the premises of the A14 auditorium (floor-1) — Colégio Almada Negreiros — NOVA FCSH — Campolide Campus and is intended, preferably, for the municipalities of the parish councils of Avenidas Novas and Campolide”, reads in the call notice, signed by the Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas (PSD).
This public meeting is scheduled for April 6, at 5:30 pm, and will be the first decentralized meeting of the current executive council, as well as the first since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The work order is unique point to hear from municipalitieswhich stipulates that “interventions by the public, maximum number of 20will be ordered in order to prioritize those that affect the of interest to the area, collective or public affairs“, emphasize the municipality.

On March 10, 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, still under the presidency of Fernando Medina (PS), the Lisbon City Council decided to postpone, without new data, the decentralized public meeting of the municipal executive that was scheduled for the day, on the date , at the public meeting of the parish of Benfica.
From that moment until this Thursday, the municipal executive did not hold decentralized public meetings.
On February 23 this year, the councilors of the PCP and PS questioned the PSD/CDS-PP leadership, which governs the city without an absolute majority, about when they would resume as decentralized public meetings of the chamber.
In response, the vice-president of the Lisbon Chamber, Filipe Anacoreta CorreiaD (CDS-PP), who attended the meeting in the absence of PS, Carlos Moedas (PS), Carlos Moedas (PS), Carlos Moedas (PS), assured that it was the executive’s intention to take “as soon as possible”.
