Ghost Top Lists In Germany and Sweden, breaking the top 10 in seven other countries
Whether you like their decaffeinated occult rock or not, you are no doubt aware that Ghost is extremely popular and their new album IMPERA saw them reach new heights of hype and praise. Now the band has revealed their list of all of Europe and other parts of the world, and apparently, any out there love them, because they have done pretty well for themselves.
Here is Ghost’s chart breakdown, reported via Loma Vista’s Twitter:
- Germany: # 1 (the band’s highest position ever in Germany)
- Sweden: # 1
- UK: # 2 (the band’s highest position ever in the UK)
- Netherlands: # 2 (the band’s highest position ever in the Netherlands)
- Belgium: # 2 (the band’s highest position ever in Belgium)
- Norway: # 2
- Australia: # 3 (the band’s highest position ever in Australia)
- France: # 5 (the band’s highest position ever in France)
- Ireland: # 5 (the band’s highest position ever in Ireland)
- Italy: # 20 (the band’s highest position ever in Italy)
Good for these guys. Obviously, number 1 in Sweden was a bit given, but beating your personal best in the UK, Germany, Australia, France and Ireland is pretty cool for a metal band. However, we can not shit about Belgium or the Netherlands history graphically, so we antar is this a big deal?
Anyway, once again, congratulations to Ghost for making that spooky cheddar. We’ll see how they do on the Billboard charts soon enough. Meanwhile, European fans can catch Ghost live on one of the following dates:
