Ukraine will present an empty stand at the Bologna Book Fair
Ukraine will be represented by an empty stand-manifesto at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair on March 21-24.

As noted, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy and the Ukrainian Institute have agreed with the organizers fair on providing Ukraine with a free stand.
At the same time, the organizers refused to participate in Russia and called on the publishers-participants of the fair to bring children’s books translated from the Ukrainian language of the world to collect them as part of a joint exhibition. Another exhibition planned in the central part of the fair is a demonstration of 30-40 Ukrainian books.
“The stand of Ukraine and the support of the organizers of the fair – an opportunity to speak loudly, find fans and unite around him caring people in the book industry. We call on us to oppose Russian aggression, to translate Ukrainian books into foreign languages so that as many people as possible can hear this Ukraine, we know what and how we write about it, and why the war that came to Ukraine may come to Europe. ” , – noted in PEC.
Visitors to the fair create photos / videos on the Ukrainian stand and publish them on the personal and official pages of their organizations on social networks to condemn Russian aggression and support Ukraine, using the hashtags #StandWithUkraine, #StopRussianAggression; print stickers and posters with gases about support for Ukraine and print them on the stand; take into account the catalogs of the rights of Ukrainian publishers (Proc Literature for export).
Free attendance at one of the world’s largest book fairs was made possible by joint requests from the Ukrainian Book Institute, the Ukrainian Institute, the Ukrainian PEN, the Book Arsenal and the BookForum International Festival.
