The activities of the OPZH and 10 other pro-Russian parties were banned – the National Security and Defense Council
11 parties are suspended during the martial law in Ukraine. This decision was voiced by President Zelensky in his appeals.
President Zelensky listed 11 parties:
• “Opposition Platform – For Life”,
• “Sharia Party”,
• “Opposition bloc”,
• “Left Opposition”,
• “Union of Left Forces”,
• “Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine”,
• “Socialist Party of Ukraine”,
• Socialist Party
• “Vladimir Saldo Bloc”.
“Any activity of politicians aimed at splitting or recruiting will not succeed. But in response. And so the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided … Given the full-scale war waged by the Russian Federation and the connection of some political structures with this state suspends all activities of a number of political parties during martial law, “said President Zelensky.
According to him, the Ministry of Justice has been instructed to take immediate measures to ban the activities of these political parties.
There has been no reaction from the OPZH, which has a faction in the Verkhovna Rada.
There was also no reaction from representatives of other banning political parties.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine on February 24 due to the Russian invasion. It was extended until April 26.
