DFB confirms: Salzburg talent Karim Adeyemi misses international match brace due to injury
Kairm Adeyemi will not be available for the German national team for the upcoming international matches against Israel (March 26 in Sinsheim) and three days later against the Netherlands (in Amsterdam). The DFB confirmed this on Sunday. The reason is a muscle injury to the thigh that the attacking player from RB Salzburg suffered in the semi-finals of the Austrian Cup competition against Wolfsberger AC.

National coach Hansi Flick had called the 20-year-old into his 26-man squad on Friday with reservations. Now he has to do without the attacker. Bayern defender Niklas Süle and Leipzig professional Lukas Klostermann had already had to cancel the DFB coach due to muscular problems. Since big names like Leon Goretzka, Marco Reus, Robin Gosens, Jonas Hofmann or young star Florian Wirtz are missing due to attacks or a lack of training, Benfica professional Julian Weigl, Benjamin Henrichs and Robin Koch are making the DFB comeback. Rio world champion Julian Draxler is also allowed to audition again.
Adeyemi has made three senior appearances and scored one goal. He has already managed 15 goals for his club Salzburg in the Austrian league and has scored three times in the Champions League.
