Start of the second half of the Tirol Liga and the Innsbruck AC With a clear 3-0 win at Union Innsbruck, they were able to move closer to the second promotion spot. For Mils it’s only enough for a 1:1 against Ebbs and Kematen doesn’t get beyond a zero number against St. Johann. the Volser SV secures the midfield place – a dominant performance against FC Koch Türe Natters, which was reflected in goals but only in a 1-0 success.
A deserved lucky punch from Völs against Natters
Hannes Brecher, Völser SV coach: “That was a really outstanding game by my team. We dominated for eighty minutes, but Natters stood up very well and made life very difficult for us. In the 10th minute Florian Toplitsch only hit the crossbar, in the 35th minute a free kick from Dominique Nussbaum also hit the crossbar. We continued to dominate in the second half, Natters had the best time of the game between the 70th and 80th minute. In the 84th minute we still got the lucky punch, although overall the win was absolutely deserved. Goal scorer was Francesco Riehle!”
Best players Volser SV: Franz Gruber (IV), Bernhard Eichner (6)
Union Innsbruck has more of the game – IAC clearly wins
Michael Messner, Innsbruck AC coach: “We are very happy about the derby victory. However, it was extremely difficult, a very bumpy lawn made for some slapstick interludes. At 3-0, the win certainly wasn’t deserved, but my team was simply more callous today. The Union clearly had more of the game. The last derby was lost and today’s win makes us even happier. The 1:0 lead comes from a free kick by Lukas Hagleitner on the crossbar and Boris Mitrovic nodded off. The 2-0 unfortunate for the Union after a corner, the ball bounced around wildly and Boris scored the second goal. It’s 2-0 after thirty minutes – definitely a preliminary decision. The Union had the best opportunity in the 70th minute. In the last minute of the game, a really nice combination from my team and Manuel Göbbel made it 3-0.”
Best players Innsbrucker AC: Boris Mitrovic (ST), Igor Masunic (IV), Daniele Sterba (goal)
