Norway with a new loss in the Golden League – smoke with eight goals against France
The case is being updated.
As against the host nation Denmark on Thursday, there was a pure overtaking against Norway. The French started the match by going up in a three-goal lead and never looked back. Norway, for their part, struggled to start the attacking game. For the most part, France led by seven goals, but throughout the round the handball boys managed to recover. At the break it was 19-14.
– It was a tough start, but it got better in the match, I feel. France looks sharp and I think they will secure the victory ashore here, Bjarte Myrhol told TV 2 during the break.
The French also went hard in the second half, but in the first ten Norway managed to keep the lead down to six. The quarter before the end, however, France became too strong and moved away. At the final signal, it was 37-29 in favor of the French.
Thus, Norway has lost two of two matches in this year’s Golden League tournament. Norway is without several of its biggest stars. Among them are a shoulder injury Sander Sagosen, Magnus Abelvik Rød and Harald Reinkind. On Sunday, Norway will meet Spain in the tournament’s final match. It will also be Christian Berge’s last match as national team coach. He will in future be the club coach for Kolstad full time.
