Turkey reveals play-off call-up

This Friday, Turkey revealed the call-up for the 2022 World Cup qualifying play-off against Portugal. The winning nation will contest the ticket to Qatar with the winner of the Italy-North Macedonia
With a view to the clashes with Portugal and, in case of victory, with Italy or North Macedonia, the coach Senol Gunes revealed the names with which he hopes to seal the qualification for the Qatar World Cup.
Highlight for the presence of the ex-FC Porto goalkeeper Sinan Bolat, who currently represents Gent, from Belgium, the central Merih Demiral, who passed through Sporting and is currently preserved by Juventus to Atalanta and from Burak Yilmaz and Hakan Çalhanoglu, forward from Lille and Milan midfielder, respectively, and leading figures in the Turkish national team.
Portugal will face Turkey in the semi-finals of the play-off on March 24, at Estádio do Dragão, at 19:45. If he wins, the ticket to the Qatar World Cup will go to the final contest against the winner of the Italy-North Macedonia, also at Dragão, on March 29, at the same time.
