Ana Figueiredo is the new CEO of Altice Portugal. Alexandre Fonseca assumes international roles in the group – Telecomunicações
There are changes in the leadership of Altice Portugal. The telecommunications operator today announced a set of changes aimed at Portuguese management and also at an international management structure for the group.
Alexandre Fonseca, who holds an international position as executive chairman of Altice Portugal, has been leaving for four years to occupy the position in the group. The information has already been communicated to Altice Portugal workers. The Portuguese manager will coordinate the operations of different countries, explains Altice, with the executive taking on the role of co-CEO and responsible for the group’s operations, namely at Altice Europe.
“This new management structure will have, in addition to Alexandre Fonseca, Malo Corbin as co-CEO for finance and M&A [fusões e aquisições] and also with David Drahi as co-CEO and responsible for development and technology”, indicates the operator. Ana Figueiredo is the successor in the position of CEO, leaving the position of CEO of Altice’s operation in the Dominican Republic, which she has held since 2018. Born in Lisbon in 1974, Ana Figueire was the first woman to assume the position of CEO of Altice Dominicana. The Portuguese manager holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (ISEG) and an MBA from the Universidade Católica and Nova Business School (MBA Lisboa) He has been a member of the Altice group and the ex-Portugal Telecom for over 18 years, detailing Altice.
Before assuming the leadership of Altice Dominicana, between 2016 and 2018 he was appointed Chief Audit Executive of the Altice Group in Switzerland, overseeing operations in France, the United States, Israel, Portugal and the Dominican Republic.
The administrative management of Altice Portugal will continue.
Both Alexandre Fonseca and Ana Figueiredo will take office on April 2nd.
