Portuguese fashion. Catarina’s debut, Carolina’s identity, Estelita’s nation and Xiomara’s madness – Observer
On the main catwalk of Portugal Fashion, there is a debut with the show, the brand of Catarina Pinto. He is 24 years old and grew up among the fabrics, machines and corridors of his parents’ textile factory in Gondomar. In 2006, Paula Nova and Alfredo Pinto created a Nopin, a clothing brand for men and women, but it was their daughter who gave the family an old dream. “2019 I just finished the fashion course at the Superior de Artes e Design to get a brand, I kept the name, which is the choice of my superior wife, but decided on the height of the parents’ nicknames, and today I will say it I just changed it, and every the woman the image”, explains the young creator to the Observer.
The Helene Meyer authorial collection is filled with works of graphic elements and patterns the new collection, to design a collection of graphic elements and patterns. There are jumpsuits, dresses and blazers with a defined waist, transparencies and quilted materials. “70% of the fabrics are Portuguese and we have an environmental concernWe opted for natural silks, organic cottons, polyester made from fabric scraps and plastic bottles, lyocell, linen and buttons in mother-of-pearl or natural coconut.”
For now, Nopin has physical stores in Porto and Braga, and through online it reaches countries such as Slovenia, Germany, Dubai or the United States of America. In the future, Catarina Pinto reveals that she wants to develop lines of accessories, such as wallets and shoes, but also Swimsuitnext year of the launch of collections for men and children.
