Pan-Hellenic agricultural rally in Athens
PANHELLENIC RALLY IN ATHENS
FRIDAY, MARCH 18
WE GIVE A SURVIVAL STRUGGLE!
Fellow farmers and stockbreeders
It is a time of responsibility, it is a time of struggle, it is a time to show our strength and determination by claiming the obvious.
To be able to cultivate this year. To produce. To live our families. To meet the nutritional needs of our people with cheap and quality products.
The war in Ukraine is being waged for economic gain and is serving the interests of the few while leading the peoples to greater poverty and destitution. To immediately disengage our country from participating in this war that directly affects our lives and to throw accuracy into the sky. Especially the cost of livestock production due to the large increase in fuel and fertilizer prices that our country imports from Russia and Ukraine.
We all know that we all care about the question of whether we will succeed, whether we can afford it.
NO we can not here and it is necessary to take measures now that will reduce production costs and will meet our basic demands. Duty free oil, abolition of the power adjustment clause, subsidy on agro-supplies and animal feed.
The devaluation we experienced in the meeting with the government level that farmers contribute only to 2.8% of GDP (it is 4.2% in reality) and that we give more than we produce to the detriment of other social groups, shows that the government has not realized that the primary sector employs 500,000 farmers and ranchers and that the raw materials and food they produce employ tens of thousands of industries and occupations, hundreds of thousands of people so the contribution to GDP is multiplied.
Clearly our contribution from the GDP of shipping is greater but all governments clog the shipowners with billions of euros, tax exemptions and tax-free oil every year!
Fellow farmers and stockbreeders
We invite you to make the rich experience you have gained in recent years. What we won, from the smallest to the largest, was the result of our struggles, our mobilizations, our massive and militant participation.
They must feel our determination and strength to realize that our demands must be met. This will not happen either with rage in cafes, or with revolutionary crowns on keyboards, or much more with inaction.
They will feel it with the presence of tractors and the participation of thousands of farmers and stockbreeders in the rally in Athens on Friday, March 18 at 1 pm in Vathis Square outside the Ministry of Health and Development.
They will feel it with the solidarity of the people of Athens whom we invite to participate in the rally as accuracy crushes us all, we have common interests and the demands we provide in reducing costs and household bills.
We have no other way than our struggle. It is necessary to reduce production costs. The government has no other choice and will understand with the dynamic rally in Athens.
We can all give a day of our lives for the rally when we know very well that it can bring results otherwise as we will weep for our fate.
Do not miss anyone! No one is left over! There are no excuses!
All together, thousands and together we can do it!
Friday, March 18, 1 at noon nationwide agricultural rally in Vathis square in Athens.
