INNSBRUCK is a word with many different meanings. The result of the Innsbruck cultural strategy participation process is now available after a one-year process. Women make up at least half of each group.
The result of the participation process serves as a basis for the political debate, formulation and decision-making of the Cultural Strategy 2030. The result of the participation process will be published in April 2022 for evaluation.
100 participants
The result of the participation process is available in six workshops with over 100 participants, with experts from the Innsbruck art and culture scene in 33 interviews, a seven-strong working group and a 34-strong advisory board headed by a seven-strong project team. On the website of the cultural strategy – https://www.kulturstrategie-innsbruck.at/ there is a transparent documentation of all project steps and all workshops.

For City Councilor for Culture Uschi Schwarzl, the process of developing the cultural strategy, for which the head of department Isabelle Brandauer and project manager Rita Hebenstreit are responsible, is a showcase project that invites you to get involved and, with professional support, the greatest possible transparency, is intended to set new standards in how a city sets its processes sets up. In the newsletter https://www.kulturstrategie-innsbruck.at/19-kulturstrategie-2030-rueckblick-und-ausblick/ you can read a lot of feedback from the participants.

Political decisions are then made about the final Cultural Strategy 2030, which measures will be prioritized based on participation and how funding will be secured. “Innsbruck is a city of culture,” says City Councilor Uschi Schwarzl. We want to pay tribute to this role and to the many people who take part in this process in their free time and who have contributed their thoughts on the Cultural Strategy 2030.”
