Genoa, a track for bicycles and mini motorcycles for the children of the Gaslini pediatric hospital
A new track for motorbikes and bicycles where the artificial patients of the Gaslini pediatric institute in Genoa, guests of Abeo Liguria onlus, will be able to take courses to learn how to ride a bicycle and on mini motorcycles. It is the one inaugurated this afternoon in front of the Casa dei capitani braaggiosi (via Redipuglia 75). “A beautiful initiative – commented the president and councilor for health of the Liguria region Giovanni Totiresa, possible thanks to the generosity of people and companies, and thanks to the great commitment of vanni oddera, who, as always, does not spare himself when there is something to do good that combines sport, fun and, as in this case, even health “. It is not “just a matter of giving the little patients of the Gaslini hospital a moment of leisure, but of giving them that lightheartedness and a bit of serenity that can help them to better deal with the treatments”, concluded Toti.
At the inauguration, together with the governor, were present Carlo Dufour, director of the oncohematology department of the Gaslini hospital, Francesco Massa, president of Abeo Liguria onlus, the various sponsors and benefactors who contributed to the creation of the track and Vanni Oddera, motocross champion and creator of the initiative. “Thanks to this track – said Oddera – the children admitted to the Gaslini in Genoa will be able to learn in complete safety to ride a bicycle and on mini-motorbikes. This project will go on for two years, every week there will be courses with the instructors but the track it will also be available to the little ones for the rest of the time. A way to allow children to be children, before being patient “.
