Concerts, theatres, operas… the artists in support of
the Kyiv City Ballet, made up of about thirty Ukrainian dancers, was in France when war was declared on February 24th. Quickly, the Chatelet theater and the City of Paris organize themselves to welcome the artists in residence, for an indefinite period. It is in this high place of Parisian culture, which has become their new refuge, that they continue to bring their art to life.
Sunday March 20, comic opera (Paris Center) places its open day under the sign of solidarity. After welcoming visitors during the day, the opera offers an evening concert, to raise funds to support children in Ukraine. The recipes will be entirely reversed to the Unicef association.
In partnership with France Culture, theOdeon european theater
(6and) to organise an evening of support for Ukraine, Monday, March 21, at 8 p.m. Presented by Ms. Eva Nguyen Binh, President of the French Institute, and Ms. Delphine Borione, Ambassador for Human Rights, the concert brought together French and Ukrainian artists around the play “Mauvaises routes”, in 2016 by the playwright Ukrainian Natalka Vorojbyt, which recounts the testimonies of men and women who fled the dilapidated roads of the Donbass at war. Proceeds from the evening will be reversed at the Red Cross.
On March 28, a literary evening, entitled “To the happiness of letters” and carried by a range of French artists, will be held on the stage of the Porte Saint-Martin theater
(tenand). In turn, Vincent Dedienne, Olivia Ruiz, Bertrand Belin, Helena Noguerra, Charles Berling and many others will take to the stage to read correspondence from the greatest personalities of our time, from Marcel Proust to Frida Kahlo, via Beethoven. The funds from this unique show will benefit actions for Ukraine carried out by the NGO Libraries Without Borders.
The same evening, at 8:30 p.m., the Le Montfort theater once again welcomes the Dakhabrakha troupe for a exceptional concert to the Red Cross. The event takes place under the sign of the reunion between the Ukrainian musicians and the theater team, who had worked together a few years ago.
On his side, the latin paradise to organise a dinner show, Tuesday, March 22, whose funds will be donated to Ukrainian humanitarian associations. This Left Bank cabaret, whose troupe is multicultural, includes artists of two nationalities, Russian and Ukrainian.
