Portugal extends non-essential travel to five African countries
Portugal decided this Wednesday to expand the list of countries whose non-essential travel is allowed, without extending the Covid-19 pandemic, now including five African countries.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry reveals that “the Air Government can work on an issue by expanding the possibility of carrying out our non-essential country to our country from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe” .
“The progressive change in the governmental areas of the Economy and Digital Transition, Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Internal Administration, Health and Infrastructure and Housing, is already on the path of easing the rules in a pandemic context that the Government has been adopting”, it helps.
According to the same note, “the provisions relating to essential travel remain unchanged, that is, those that have professionals, studies or family members, as well as health or human reasons”.
“It will also remain in force of testing before COVID-1 for the start of confirmation and in force of testing of SARS-CoV-2”, “It also concerns the presentation and in force of the test of SARS-2”.
Thus, “passengers who did not have a COVID Digital Certificate or another recognized under the law present, at the time of departure, proof of carrying out a nucleic acid amplification test or a rapid antigen test for professional use with a result, carried out on 72 or 24 hours hours prior to departure time.
